چکیده
The Chinese Ocean Color and Temperature Scanner (COCTS) on board HY-1 series satellites has two thermal infrared channels with the spectrum range of 10.30-11.40 μm 11.40-12.50 for sea surface temperature (SST) observations. To reprocess Haiyang-1B (HY-1B) COCTS SST, Bayesian cloud detection optimal estimation (OE) SST retrieval were applied to data in this study. algorithm that been developed is based Bayes’ theorem uses simulation MODerate resolution atmospheric TRANsmission (MODTRAN) model was used brightness temperatures. SSTs retrieved from by OE 2009 2011 northwest Pacific. Comparison situ showed are cooler than buoy measurements –0.23 °C average, standard deviation (SD) differences 0.51 °C. A large component mean difference attributable cool skin effect at ocean (typically –0.15 –0.2 °C), remainder being calibration biases. matched temperatures Advanced Along Track Scanning Radiometer (AATSR) closer zero, –0.09 °C, a SD 0.49 These validation results demonstrate work well improving accuracy, show potential these methods help develop products operational satellites, HY-1C HY-1D.

Near-Surface Air Temperature Retrieval Derived from AMSU-A and Sea Surface Temperature Observations
A 10-m air temperature (Ta) retrieval using Advanced Microwave Sounding Unit A (AMSU-A) and satellite-derived sea surface temperature (Ts) observations is presented. The multivariable linear regression retrieval uses AMSU-A brightness temperatures from the 52.8and 53.6-GHz channels and satellite-derived daily sea surface temperatures to determine Ta. A regression error of 0.838C using 841 match...

متن کاملanalysis of sea surface current in sea surface temperature images
oceanographic images obtained from environmental satellites by a wide range of sensors allow characterizing natural phenomena through different physical measurements. for instance sea surface temperature (sst) images, altimetry data and ocean color data can be used for characterizing currents and vortex structures in the ocean. the purpose of this thesis is to derive a relatively complete frame...
متن کاملTrend of the Caspian Sea surface temperature changes
The interaction between sea and atmosphere has profound effects on the regions climate. Meanwhile, the sea surface temperature is considered as one of the most effective components of water bodies, and the controller of many atmospheric behaviors. Because of the importance of sea surface temperatures effects on atmospheric elements and also given the role of global warming on land and sea surfa...
